This was a request by my mom. That doesn't usually happen, so when she said "you should draw that guy from Prison Break with the really nice eyes" I said sure.
I've wanted to do this combo of colored eyes on a B&W drawing since someone told me that Attila looked like his eyes were blue. I was stuck between drawing him in full color because his eyes are so gorgeous, or all B&W because that's faster... so here's the compromise. The eyes were the uber scary part since it was a one shot deal, but they turned out ok I guess. I might play with it later but for now I just need to stop looking at it and go do some homework (yes, Ive wasted loads of the weekend working on this). The picture isn't quite as rough as some of the bits look, but you all know how the scanny thing goes.
Some things I learned about Mr. Miller while searching for a good reference: He's mixed (African American father), was born in England, and graduated from Princeton with a degree in English Literature. Doesn't that just make my English Major heart go pitty-pat!
That's really good. One of the best you've done. The eyes work brilliantly. Subtle, yet they jump out. I was expecting a more vibrant colour, but this works really well. The hair looks great too. I know you've struggled with hair in the past. You've definately got this one right. I'm not faving it, because I don't really want a bloke's portrait. That is the only reason.

Oh My God, I love this!! I am a Prison Break addict and you captured him perfectly!!!! I love how you gave his eyes just that little pop of colour, and that intense look again, perfect! If I could I would fav it a million times
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
