This is a portrait of the irresistable Mr. Gerard Butler for a fan convention in Vegas. It'll be one of the items up for bid in a silent auction, all proceeds going to breast cancer research. This is the last portrait I see myself doing for a while, I originally started doing the whole portrait thing because I wasn't satisfied with the way I drew faces (and what better subject to practice on than my favourite actor, no?). I think I've improved a little bit, so now I think it's time to move on and try some different stuff. I've wanted to paint for a while now, so I think that's where I'm heading for a bit. I'll be posting an acrylic painting (my second!) I was working on in conjunction with this drawing. Definately want to improve in the painting department, but I won't lie, I'm kinda scared. Wish me luck.

EDIT:
This puppy made $450.00 (USD) at the auction! :wow:
Proceeds went to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund

beautiful, as usual. the title definitely fits Mr. Butler, if i must say so myself. one thing i've noticed about your artwork is how well you're able to capture the emotion in their eyes--especially for Gerry. so you're going to the Gals convention then?

If you're not confused you're not paying attention.

You DON'T like the way you draw faces? *wants to shoot self* I only wish I had your talent for portraits. . . :(

This is a great picture, btw. As a matter of fact, it's disgustingly good. ;P

Verrry nice. I'm impressed with what you can do with faces m'self. :) The imagination part is scary, no? *shudder* I feel your pain. I've finished my first acrylic painting in ages m'self, will get it posted once the people who paid for it get to see it. :)
